Towards the end of August, Louise and Nathan took 7 young people along to Soul Survivor in Peterborough for the week. We joined together with 20 others from Stroud Christian Fellowship to share in a week of worship, fellowship and quality fun. It’s a huge Christian Conference, and our teenagers engaged with the huge evening session where 6000 young people worshipped, prayed and listen to inspiring speakers share amazing stories.
Many of them also attended seminars each day, taking time to choose talks and discussion that matter to them most – with many of them commenting that the variety of opportunities on offer was so helpful. They also enjoyed many sports, late night concerts, themed parties and some quality food, and so although the week knackered us all, we came to the end of the week encouraged and challenged by what we heard. On the last day we chatted about how they all could lead more and more, and they even floated the idea of doing a ‘Random Acts of Kindness day’ around the local area.
